A home for recording.
Independent, full-service recording studio and record label in Tucson.
Our Approach
Performances, not files.
Records should feel like a moment in time, not a collection of edits. The artwork matters as much as the arrangement. Listeners can hear this honesty.
We focus on capturing real performances and presenting them with care — from just the right vibe in the recording room to album cover typography.

Production & Gear
We track through a 1980’s-era 16-channel Soundcraft 6000 console, paired with a UA Apollo interface and expanded with an additional 8 channels of UA digital I/O; creating a flexible 24-channel recording environment with the ability to reamp.
Our workflow is centered in Pro Tools, supported by a deep collection of plugins from Universal Audio, Waves Studio, and more. We’ve intentionally embraced an in-the-box recording & mixing approach. Our studio output is digital and we partner with vinyl, tape, and CD vendors. Over time, we’ve found that great records come less from the gear and more from the feel and performance of the artist—and that remains our singular focus.
The studio is equipped with a thoughtfully curated selection of microphones, well-maintained instruments, vintage amplifiers, and a range of outboard pedals collected over the years. We encourage artists to bring instruments and amplification they’re most comfortable with. Drummers are welcome to deliver their kits in advance of sessions so we can dial in sounds ahead of time and maximize efficiency on recording days—at no additional cost.
Hello from Benji
I’m a lifelong musician, songwriter, record maker, and visual designer based in Tucson, Arizona, where I live with my partner and our two pups. Together, we’ve spent the past several years restoring a once-deteriorating horse ranch, bringing it back to life with music, care, and a lot of love.
I started IviBob Records to create the kind of albums I grew up with. Records where the sound and the artwork feel inseparable. After decades of performing, producing my own work, and collaborating with musicians from around the world, I’m proud to offer what I’ve learned—and what I genuinely love doing—to the Tucson community and beyond.

Make great music.
Make great music.
Make great music. Make great music!
Let’s hear it.
If you’ve been working on songs and want another set of ears, you’re welcome to send them through.
I try to listen to a small number of submissions and offer thoughtful feedback when I can; not from an industry perspective, but from the standpoint of someone who cares about songs and how they’re captured.
There’s no pressure here, and nothing formal about it. Just a way to connect.
